Our group is made up of volunteer members who are dedicated to making our community a better place.
To accomplish this, here is how it works:
• There will be 4 meetings per year, 1 per quarter, each lasting 1 hour in length
• Each member has the opportunity to nominate one charity prior to each meeting
• All the accepted nominations will go in a hat, and prior to each meeting, we’ll draw 3 charities
• At each meeting, the 3 chosen charities will have the opportunity to make a short presentation to the 100 REALTORS® WHO CARE before voting takes place
• After the presentations, all members in good standing will vote by secret ballot on the charity they wish to receive the funding from that meeting
• The votes will be counted on the spot, and the winners announced at the meeting. The charity who receives the most votes receives $9,500 (95% of total), and the runner up receives $500 (5% of total)
• Income tax receipts will be issued directly from the charity
• To become a member, submit the Commitment Form agreeing to donate $100 per meeting — 4 times a year—whether or not you attend the meeting
